Issue courtesy of alliebobz: Music files are disappearing from my library Windows Media Player?
I have been extensively adding media to the library on my computer from Napster and now album by album they seem to be disappearing.
I am very confused as to why this is happening. They aren’t being deleted from the Napster library, the “My Music” folder or renamed or even played!
It’s truely bizzare!
Any advice is appreciated!
Should have added laptop is BRAND NEW, hence the adding of all the media!

I have searched answers, and I thought I knew how. So I went to options and saved my Limewire stuff in a folder in “My Music.” I went to Windows Media and clicked “Add music” and I clicked that folder. Answer by CynCity Stay away Limewire is dangerous. It can mess up your computer and give you things you don’t want. Trust me I have a friend that had a very bad experience that landed him in jail for a year I wouldn’t chance it.
Answer by A Vehicle That Crushes You ok make a folder on desktop and name it w/e you want to name it and than you drag all the songs from limewire into that folder. then you insert your clean cd and than double click on it in my computer and than you double click on the folder on your desktop with all the songs. then you drag those songs onto the cd

I have like 1500 songs in like 5 folders. I have updated all the tag info , , , ect.. Using windows Media Player.
Now i would like to Have all my songs in one main folder “My Music”, then in sub folder, artist, then album.
Is there any easy way to do this?? I have looked through the help file, ans the options menu, but dont see any way to have media player move the files for me.

unless you use WINRAR and compress it before sending it…

Answer by redsoxer The file is already compressed, so using WinRAR isn’t going to do anything. Most ISP’s limit to 10MB or so.
Instead of sending it via email, use Skype to transfer it to your friends. Depending on how large the file is, you may be able to send it via AOL’s instant messenger (AIM) too, as it has a 15mb limit.

The Skype programme (program to the US), hmmm, where have I heard of that before…..
I wonder whether it could be sent through Messenger, is there a limit to that? Try it and see.
And then Limewire perhaps, just maybe that is the go…. Plenty of trial and error ahead.
