I have a facebook page with several thousand “likes” or fans of my music. One or two throughout the week will post “good music” or “i really like your tunes” or sometimes even questions.

I wanted to know what you’re opinion is on responding to these posts? I know it’s good to engage your fans, but if you look at all the big celebs, none of them respond. Do you think it makes a musician look small-time if they respond to people’s comments, or do you like that they take the time to respond to everyone?

I think you should occasionally put up a status like “Thanks for the support guys” and such. For the questions I would make a Q&A discussion board so you’re not repeating answers all the time. I like it when the artists reply to fans, but it’d take forever to reply to every one.

Responding to people’s questions and comments doesn’t make people look down on you at all. On the contrary, it will make your fans feel appreciated. They will feel special and will really like the fact that you are drawing closer to them. I guess you meant ‘few’ of the big celebs respond. Even if most of them don’t respond, it may be because they don’t have enough time, or that they are not so much into online social networking, etc. I think you should respond to your fans if you can.

Hi, so I have about 1/3 of my music in a folder labeled “official music” and then I have two thirds of my music in a folder labeled “jazz” I want to empty ALL the artists of jazz into “official music” just so I have less folders. is there a shortcut rather than cutting and pasting?

Just do Ctrl+A to select everything, then either cut-and-paste or drag-and-drop.

open both folders in a way you can see them both. Like one folder on the left and one on the right. In your Jazz folder, hit CTRL+A on your keyboard, all the music should highlight in blue. Then with your mouse click and hold one of the files and drag it into the “official music” folder. They should all have moved together into the file.

Click on one of the folders then find the “move this folder” (upper left of you screen). when it ask were …click on the other folder and it will all move there!

I dunno about 98%…thats a little harsh! But I agree with you, I listen to the oldies because of it!

Ugh I know! I do like some modern music but I think the older stuff is better. If you go back to like the 60′s the songs actually had meaning! I know what you mean!
