How watching TV best suited for home theater speaker set?

I have a Pioneer home theater. There are options for pre-set listening modes using the front speakers: “Movie,” “Music,” and “Extra Power.” I assume that the “Movie” and “Music” modes are speifically for CDs and DVDs, not for TV music and movies.

Lots of bass make it cool. Especially for Star Wars….

Music, reason is that music consists of many different levels of noise both high end and low end, so if you want those sounds to stand out more id use the music setting even while watching TV

What sounds best to you? That’s how you should think about it.


However, you can’t really split the channels with broadcast TV unless it is broadcast in Stereo. That being said I prefer just the front channels for TV.


But again, pick what you like and don’t worry about what anyone else thinks. Odds are they don’t have a clue either no matter how much they claim to know.
